Recognizing the importance of education as a basic human right in an increasingly dynamic, competitive, and global community, we embark on a physical endeavor to do our part to end the self-perpetuating cycles of illiteracy, ignorance, and intolerance that a lack of a good education can engender. To this end, we will be running in the Shamrock Marathon at Virginia Beach, VA, on March 20th, 2004 to raise money for the United Nations International Children's Education Fund (UNICEF).
